This is a sound visualization to generate a "song" based on FIFA World Cup matches and goals. The melody are the goals scored, with the moment of the note being played corresponding to the moment that the goal was scored within that match, and the pitch of the note corresponding to the shirt number of the player that scored the goal, according to the table below. The scale chosen was a C Major Pentatonic scale; this way the notes wouldn't sound strange if played together or very close to one another. So, only the notes C, D, E, G and A are played. 1 = D2 2 = E2 3 = G2 4 = A2 5 = C3 6 = D3 7 = E3 8 = G3 9 = A3 10 = C4 11 = D4 12 = E4 13 = G4 14 = A4 15 = C5 16 = D5 17 = E5 18 = G5 19 = A5 20 = C6 21 = D6 22 = E6 23 = G6 24 = A6 25 = C7 26 = D7 If the goal is a own goal, the pitch is shifted one semitone higher, to cause a dissonance on purpose. The harmony are the matches. Each World Cup match is delimited by the two low string notes, one in each stereo channel. The pitches are defined from the confederation that the team belongs to. For example, if the match is between Brazil and Croatia, the notes of the CONMEBOL and UEFA will play together. The left team on the FIFA official fixtures plays on the left channel and, of course, the right team plays on the right channel. The notes chosen for each confederation also come from the C Major Pentatonic scale: AFC = G2 CAF = A2 CONCACAF = C3 UEFA = D3 CONMEBOL = E3
